A MESSAGE FROM YOUR COUNCILMEMBER

Welcome to your online connection to your City Council office. It is my honor to represent you on the Council, and I plan to make this website a valuable resource to allow you to participate more effectively in your city government.

I feel very fortunate to live in and represent such a vibrant, diverse and interesting part of this great city. My staff and I are committed to making this website a useful tool to provide you with important information about your city government. This will also be a place to showcase the people, events and culture that make our neighborhoods such great places to live and work. You will also be able to find the latest information about community news, events, issues and announcements from the neighborhoods that make up the Second Council District, so I hope you will visit this site often.

As always, we would welcome your suggestions about how to best serve your needs, as well as your announcements, photos and other information that you would like to be considered for inclusion on this site.

ABOUT COUNCIL DISTRICT 2

Los Angeles Second Council District stretches from Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills to Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest. It is a diverse district rich in tradition. The equestrian communities provide a rural lifestyle that is unique to any major urban city. Its open space and beautiful mountains are apart of Californias natural beauty. The cultural diversity amongst its neighborhoods enriches every community. And the films made in the district entertain and amaze people worldwide.

The Second Council District and the communities serves; Lake View Terrace, La Tuna Canyon, North Hollywood, Shadow Hills, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Sunland, Sun Valley, Tujunga, Valley Village, Valley Glen and Van Nuys.
