Toluca Lake neighbors celebrated the completion of long-awaited renovations to the Vineland Avenue median strip. Council President Paul Krekorian was joined by Keith Mozee, General Manager of StreetsLA (the Bureau of Street Services), Captain Warner Castillo of the LAPD North Hollywood Division; Tess Taylor, President of the Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council; Erick Garcia, President of the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce; and  Ryan Altoon, Chair of the Toluca Lake Beautification Partners.

This median project –- including installation of cobblestones, landscaping, irrigation system upgrades and mulching – is one of many projects Council President Krekorian has funded with CRA bond funds set aside for the NoHo Arts District by the former Community Redevelopment Agency.

Other such projects already completed or currently underway include NoHo Arts District murals, LADOT signal cabinet artwork, NoHo Plaza People Street improvements, restoration of the Lankershim Arts Center, upgrades to the Chandler Bike Path, and new systems for stormwater capture.
