LOS ANGELES (June 2, 2023) - Los Angeles City Council President Paul Krekorian has released the following statement:
“The coroner’s report released today is only one element of an investigative process that will continue. If we want to see justice done we need to let that process unfold. Beyond the coroner’s report, all of the facts of this case need to be, and will be, fully and fairly evaluated.”
“Grief and anger are natural responses to a tragic loss of life like the death of Kenan Anderson. While this investigation is underway, speculative comments and presumptions from those of us who are not directly involved in the investigation will not be helpful. If we value justice, we cannot fear the truth. Completing the legal and investigative process is the only way to find both.”
