The North Hollywood Arts District has a striking new landmark, “Faces of NoHo.”  Made possible with bond funds from eh former Community Redevelopment Agency, provided by the office of City Council President Paul Krekorian, the roof-to-sidewalk mural by nationally recognized artist Levi Ponce wraps around the facade and parking lot side of The Group Rep’s Lonny Chapman Theater building on Burbank Boulevard.

Council President Krekorian and Levi Ponce were joined by the Director of the City’s Department of Cultural Affairs,  Daniel Tarica, and by the Artistic Director of The Group Rep, Douglas Haverty, to celebrate the completion of the mural and mark the 50th anniversary of The Group Rep.

“The NoHo Arts District wouldn’t be an arts district without its theaters,” said Krekorian. “This beautiful mural is a perfect expression of the cultural richness that theaters like The Group Rep have brought to our community for half a century.”
